KDDF aims to boost clinical trial budget by 30% in 2025, awards 6 outstanding projects
Amid challenges facing Korea’s bio-venture and new drug development industries, the Korea Drug Development Fund (KDDF) will increase its clinical trial project budget by 30 percent in 2025.
Park Yeong-min, president and CEO of KDDF, announced the initiative during the 2024 National Drug Development Project awards ceremony held in Seoul on Tuesday. He highlighted the fund's efforts to strengthen global competitiveness in the coming year.
The awards, now in their second year, recognize outstanding projects and promote collaboration across academia, industry, and research institutions. From September to December, KDDF evaluated 391 projects, selecting six exemplary initiatives after a rigorous six-round selection process. This year's recognition was reduced from 10 projects last year.
