[Press Release]
President DH Lee is scheduled to participate in BioBusiness Asia for two days, July 24th-25th, to be held in Taiwan, with a theme of ‘Asia’s Emerging Markets: Investment for the Future’.
In a session of this conference, with the theme “ Riding the Tide of Innovation in the Field of Science”, President Lee will take part in a panel meeting with representatives from Japan, Singapore, the United States and Taiwan to share cases concerning information on project incubation currently being carried out in many countries.
In the midst of various efforts for new drug development being carried out on a global scale, Bio-incubation is one of the areas where recently the attention of government officials and researchers has been concentrated.
Incubation, although still in its early stages of research, is a concept not only providing a guide to promote research, but is also taking on a consulting role, assisting in research showing high potential for success and carrying it through to the development of a new drug.
Panels participating in this session will discuss: △ Incubation background in their home countries (organizational issues and efforts to solve the problems, and the role of government) △ Funding mechanisms & types of incubation programs for partnership with industry, the Forster Community and University venture, and bridging the gap between early discovery and development △ Asia-Pacific Incubation Network and creating a regional innovative cluster).
From July 26th-29th, President Lee will also participate in the international exhibition ‘Bio Taiwan’, held on an international scale, to observe various size & shapes, and the latest trends of exhibitions in order to be prepared for Bio Korea.
